Talk: Savoir faire and storytelling: Reimagining the 'Lady Dior' with Patrick Eugène

Talk

This event takes place off-site at SCADshow, 1470 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, Ga.

Join SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film for an exclusive conversation with acclaimed Atlanta artist Patrick Eugène. Thoughtfully chosen for the prestigious Dior Lady Art Project, Eugène collaborated with the legendary French maison to transform the iconic Lady Dior handbag into a chic outpouring of personal and cultural narrative reflecting his Haitian American roots.

Eugène engages with SCAD art history professor Ashley Laverock to reflect on his creative trajectory and the technical prowess required to merge his soulful, narrative-driven work with Dior’s unparalleled savoir faire. Hear how his artistic compositions created for Dior Lady Art, bridge Atlanta’s contemporary art scene and the pinnacle of global haute couture.

This off-site event is free for SCAD Card holders and SCAD FASH members and $10 for the general public.
