'Anointed Apparel: Fashion in the Black Church'
Talk
Praise the apparel of the Black church joined by Taniqua Martin, founder and host of the podcast Black Fashion History, in conversation with Andreia Wardlaw, director of the Walter and Linda Evans Center for African American Studies at the SCAD Museum of Art. Explore how Sundays became a sartorial scene for African Americans throughout the U.S. South, creating space for fashion icons like André Leon Talley.
