Event
Hear multidisciplinary artist Derrick Adams speak about his exhibition Patrick Kelly: The Journey with his friend Antwaun Sargent, a Brooklyn-based writer and art critic. The exhibition, now on view at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, honors the joyful spirit and legacy of the late African-American fashion designer Patrick Kelly. The conversation will focus on intersections within Adams’ work between art and fashion, parallels with Kelly’s designs, and the importance of history and archives in his artistic process.
This event is located at SCADshow, 173 14th St. NE, Atlanta, Georgia. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is free and open to the public. It is presented as part of SCAD deFINE ART 2020, the university’s annual program of exhibitions, lectures, and performances held Feb. 18–20 at locations in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia.
