Revere the fashion expertise of Cristóbal Balenciaga at the SCAD FASH exhibition opening
Reception
Join fellow SCAD FASH members for the debut of Cristóbal Balenciaga: Master of Tailoring, an exhibition that accentuates the galvanizing impact of his couturier career. The evening includes a private reception and conversations with Fondation Azzedine Alaïa’s Gael Mamine; Balenciaga’s director of archives Gaspard de Massé; and Gonzalo Parodi, director of the Parodi Costume Collection in Miami, moderated by SCAD fashion historian Carmela Spinelli. Following the discussion, delight in a tour of expertly curated, rare archival pieces from the 1940s to the late 1960s — beautiful representations of the prowess and breadth surrounding Balenciaga’s mastery and legacy.
