Reception
Presenting the culture-defining looks of cinema’s costume design darling, SCAD FASH invites members to the exhibition opening of Sandy Powell’s Dressing the Part: Costume Design for Film. Recipient of the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship, Sandy Powell is a formidable force in the filmmaking industry. Enjoy a red carpet-worthy champagne reception and an intimate conversation with Powell joined by fashion historian Cassidy Zachary.

Throughout her career, Powell has designed for more than 50 films and forged longstanding collaborations with directors Martin Scorsese, Todd Haynes, and Neil Jordan. In the debut exhibition of her Academy Award-winning portfolio, myriad vignettes display more than 70 costumes from nearly 30 films, including Shakespeare in Love, The Wolf of Wall Street, and How to Talk to Girls at Parties.
