Celebrate the upcoming SCAD FASH exhibition Emily in Paris: Fashion Without Rules — Costumes by Marylin Fitoussi with a dynamic panel exploring the impact of women costume designers across dance, film, and fashion. SCAD graduate and Atlanta Ballet costume expert Abigail Dupree-Polston (B.F.A., fashion, 2011) joins SCAD FASH assistant director of exhibitions Emily Smith for a conversation on the convergence of narrative storytelling and textile artistry, noting the unique challenges and triumphs of dressing the moving body while crafting cinematic characters and breaking traditional rules of couture. Enjoy the floral stylings of the Mater Day Flower Truck by reserving one of 35 tickets or securing a spot as an early walk up. Light and limited provisions will be available from Le Bon Nash.
Admission is free for SCAD Card holders and SCAD FASH members. Event entrance is included with standard museum admission for the general public.
