Nasha Thomas of the iconic Alvin Ailey dance company joins Andreia Wardlaw, director of the SCAD Museum of Art’s Walter and Linda Evans Center for African American Studies, and SCAD acting professor Tiffany Hobbs to explore the symbiotic relationship between costume and dance. Learn more about the intricacies of movement, form, and function in relation to the beautiful costumes and clothing seen in modern dance performances.

Hear from the lauded designer as he recounts highlights from his career and his special connection with acclaimed actor Cicely Tyson. A book signing follows the conversation.
